Intro - spoken
Toby: One tiny seed. Is it a flower yet? Children: Not yet! Toby: Then let's dig, pat, drip-drop, grow!
Sound cue: Dig-dig, pat-pat!
Verse 1
Toby found a seed so small, Curled up like a tiny ball. Dug one hole down in the ground, Soft brown soil all around. In went the seed with one small plop. Pat-pat soil upon the top. Toby peeked. "What do I see?" Soil as quiet as can be.
Pre-Chorus
Not yet, not yet, wait and see. Roots grow secretly. Give it water, warmth, and time. Then we sing our counting rhyme.
Chorus
One little seed sleeps down below. Two little drops - drip-drop - help it grow. Three warm sunbeams, soft and slow. Four green leaves wave hello. Five bright petals - what a show! One, two, three, four, five - grow, grow, grow!
Verse 2
Toby tipped his watering can. "Two small drops - yes, I can!" Drip went one and drop went two. Down the water trickled through. Three warm sunbeams kissed the pot. Toby peeked. "A flower?" "Not!" Bump-bump-bump went soil on top. Up sprang sprout with a green-green pop.
Call and Response
Toby: Pull it up? Children: No, no, no! Toby: What do we do? Children: Wait and let it grow!
Chorus
One little seed sleeps down below. Two little drops - drip-drop - help it grow. Three warm sunbeams, soft and slow. Four green leaves wave hello. Five bright petals - what a show! One, two, three, four, five - grow, grow, grow!
Action Break
Curl down small, a sleepy seed. Pat the ground and count the beat. Stretch up slowly, stem so straight. Wave four leaves - we know how to wait. Open five fingers, petals bright. Bloom, little flower, in the light!
Verse 3
Day by day the small stem grew. Four green leaves came peeking through. Five pink petals popped out wide. Toby bounced from side to side. He leaned close and sniffed the bloom. Sweet spring smell filled up the room. "Ah-ah-ah-CHOO!" went Toby Tops. The flower danced in petal hops.
Final Chorus
One little seed sleeps down below. Two little drops - drip-drop - help it grow. Three warm sunbeams, soft and slow. Four green leaves waved hello. Five bright petals - what a show! One, two, three, four, five - grow, grow, grow!
Outro
Dig-dig, pat-pat, drip-drop, grow. Little roots begin below. Water, sunshine, time, and care: Now a flower's blooming there!
Sound cue: Pop-pop, achoo, ding!
